Yes!
Its perfectly legal to own most species of turtles and terrapins in the UK.
Yellow Bellied Sliders, Cumberland Sliders and Red Eared Sliders all of the Genus Trachemys scripta have been banned from sale, import, breeding or exchange since 2016. It is still legal to own these if you already had them as an existing pet and its legal to send them to a registered rescue centre.
There is no restriction on any other species of turtle or terrapin other than having the correct CITES paperwork.
My business is built with the welfare of chelonia in mind. All animals are captive bred, I will discuss with you that you are aware of the full size of the adult turtle and its care needs and expect you to meet them.
I won't knowingly overuse single use plastics or excessive packaging. Packaging for transport will be provided by me and be safe and secure for the animal, as well as being as environmentally friendly as possible.
I also assist in the rehoming of unwanted pets, having quite a few rescues myself.
I will not retain any bank or credit card details, nor divulge personal information to any other person.
